Sydney Private Schools introduces Victorian College For The Deaf in Melbourne, for all your education and learning needs.
The Victorian College for the Deaf was established in 1862 and is Australia's oldest school for deaf students.
There are approximately 70 Deaf and hard of hearing students from throughout Victoria attending the school. The college provides programs for both primary and secondary aged students.
A diverse range of cultural backgrounds is reflected in the student population. A number of students come from homes where the first language is a Language other than English.
Some country students reside during the week at a family group home located in the south-eastern suburbs.
The College is located on the corner of High Street and St. Kilda Road, Melbourne, three kilometres from the city.
