Sydney Private Schools introduces Blackwater North State School in Clifton, for all your education and learning needs.
Blackwater is situated approximately 200km west of Rockhampton and 55km from the beautiful Blackdown Tableland. It is predominantly a coal mining town with six coal mines operating in the district. It has a core population of around 5,000 people.
Blackwater North State School was opened in 1979 because of both new mines opening and older mines expanding. This brought many new families to the town. The student population then was 181. Today the school population is 485 and the school boasts many new facilities. We take pride in our school and the quality education we endeavour to offer our students.
Welcome to Blackwater North State School one of the popular educators in your Clifton area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
