Located in the heart of the western suburbs, Mount Claremont Mount Claremont Primary School Primary School (formerly known as Graylands Primary School) opened its doors in 1917 and the school has developed a rich history in a variety of education roles. In addition to its role in primary school education, it has at various times included a Migrant Education centre, an Intensive English Centre, a Teachers' College Demonstration School and a PEAC (Primary Extension and Challenge) centre.

The school currently serves 104 families (145 students), from three main intake area - Mt Claremont to the north, west and east, Claremont to the south and Swanbourne to the west. Parents are involved in many aspects of the school program, working in partnership with school staff to support student’s education.
