Chrysalis Montessori School

Sydney Private Schools introduces Chrysalis Montessori School in Glendalough, for all your education and learning needs.

Chrysalis Montessori School was founded in 1990 and has been at its present Glendalough site at Parkland Road since 1991. The School has a student population of about 150 pupils, ranging in age from 3 to 12 years old. Being located adjacent to Herdsman Lake Regional Park affords the School the opportunity to utilise the vast open public space to augment our existing school grounds.

Chrysalis aims to help each child develop holistically; that is, intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

The school applies the key principles of Maria Montessori's philosophy and method of education. These include:

• fostering a love of learning;
• encouraging initiative, independent work habits, self-motivation and concentration;
• helping each child to develop self-respect, respect for others, orderliness, sociability and respect for their environment; and
• providing freedom for each child to follow their individual interests.

The school caters for children from 3 years of age in the pre-primary classes right through to the completion of their primary education.
