Eastern Ranges School is situated in the North East Region of Victoria. We are a member of the Knox Network of Schools. Our School has adopted the framework of TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and other related Communication handicapped CHildren). This method of structured teaching is designed around the characteristics of ASD that affect learning. The four major components of structured teaching addressed in our school are:

• Physical structure which refers to classroom organisation;
• Visual schedules which is the way by which information depicting where the learning tasks will take place;
• Work systems which is the visual information informing the student what to do; and
• Task organisation which is the visual information describing how to complete the activity.
