Sydney Private Schools introduces Burwood East Special Developmental School in Burwood East, for all your education and learning needs.

Burwood East Special Developmental School provides educational programs for pre-school, primary and secondary school-aged students with a moderate to severe intellectual disability, sensory and physical impairments, and autism spectrum disorder. Our facilities are built to cater for up to 60 students and include the Specialist Prep program at Burwood East Primary School.

The school caters for a total of 75 students, with an enrolment of 56 school-aged students and 19 pre-school students in the Early Education Program. The school zone covers eastern suburbs located in the cities of Whitehorse, Maroondah, Boroondara, Manningham and Monash, including the suburbs of Nunawading, Blackburn, Box Hill, Burwood, Balwyn, Hawthorn, Kew, Doncaster, Templestowe and Vermont South. Eligible school-aged students living within the designated transport zone have access to bus transport to and from school.

Pre-school students can begin if they are 2.8 years of age by January 1st of the year they enrol. School aged students are 5 years old by April 30th of the year they enrol. Students graduate from school at the conclusion of the year they turn 18 years old.
