The School of Communication, Information and New Media is part of the University of South Australia. It is located at the Magill Campus, an attractive parkland setting to the east of Adelaide, easily accessible by public transport. The School offers awards and conducts research in Communication, Multimedia Studies, Journalism, Information Studies and related areas such as Media Production, Knowledge Management, Public Relations and Communication and Media Management.

The School offers awards across a range of levels from undergraduate studies, a number of postgraduate Diploma and Masters programs to research and professional Doctorates. It teaches programs in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore and draws students from many Asian and European countries. It contains about 45 academic staff and over 2000 students. The school maintains excellent links with communication-related industries, often through final year projects undertaken as part of its courses.
