Grand Avenue State School is a Band 11 state primary school situated in the suburb of Forest Lake which is approximately thirty kilometres southwest of the Brisbane central business district. The school opened in 1999 with an enrolment of 202 full time students. Enrolment growth has been constant for the school to reach it's present population of 1250 students.
The school environment is modern in design with buildings strategically located around the junior, middle and senior courts. This provides students of similar ages with common areas for organisational and educational purposes.
