Seaforth Public School is a growing school where parents and staff work in partnership to provide HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION IN A SAFE AND HAPPY ENVIRONMENT. At the forefront of our common goal are our children-their welfare, their education, and their fulfilment and happiness at each stage of their growth and development.
At Seaforth we strive to be progressive and adaptable as we seek to provide a range of experiences for all our students. The wide range of extra-curricular programs provided ensure all students have the opportunity to excel in at least one area of the curriculum. It is essential that all students are challenged to their full potential in the Basic Skills of Literacy, Numeracy and Information Technology. Extension classes are provided for academically talented students and support programs are provided for students who experience challenges in their acquisition of the Basic Skills.
The school is well resourced including the employment of additional staff to provide small class sizes and specialist programs. This resourcing is made possible by the generosity of the parent community in their fundraising. The school has a modern library and Computer Laboratory. In 2010 a new hall will be available for use. This will be provided by Federal Government Funding.
We believe that, notwithstanding the constant changes experienced in today's society the value of respect, tolerance, courtesy, self discipline and pride in one's self are values that all need to continue to embrace. We expect the students to practise these values taught in the home and reinforced at school. In 2009 the school introduced a revised Anti Bullying Program.
