The school, sited on eight hectares of picturesque land and surrounded by residential blocks, caters for students from kindergarten to year 6 (k-6). It maintains and promotes its community links by: being proactive and keeping the community aware of current directions in education through specific programs and the parent organisations; promoting a sense of worth and belonging in parents and students through programs which encourage parents to be part of our school and recognise students for school /class achievement; encouraging shared decision making by seeking parents' opinions through the School Council, Parents and Citizens' Association and various committees, and seeking students' opinions through the Student Representative Council; and providing, for students, improved educational opportunities by regularly reviewing the teaching and assessing of basic skills subjects and by offering support and alternate teaching programs (e.g. reading recovery, dance).
