Sydney Private Schools introduces Wheeler Heights Public School in Collaroy Plateau, for all your education and learning needs.
Wheeler Heights Public School is located in the beautiful northern beaches of Sydney, Australia.
The school was opened in 1961, and in 2011 will be proudly celebrating 50 years as a centre of quality teaching and learning in its community.
The school is a mid-sized school of approximately 500 students....big enough to offer a wide range of educational opportunities, yet small enough to deliver a personalised approach to learning for every child. The school site has extensive and spacious grounds, including two tennis courts, a large grassed oval and a range of shaded play areas and equipment. Although centrally located on Veterans Parade the school is almost hidden behind homes to provide a safe, quiet and secure learning environment.
Teachers and parents work closely together to provide a wide range of opportunities for all students to achieve their 'Personal Best'. The values of respect and responsibility underpin our school culture and are reflected in our achievements and school climate. A highly skilled and committed staff ensures maximum learning outcomes for all students at the school.. There are many opportunities for students to experience leadership and success. Students are happy, proud of their school and demonstrate the willingness to participate in the wide range of educational opportunities offered to them
The school community is very excited about the current building program due to be completed in early 2011. A new Library and Resource Learning Centre is under construction. A new School Hall and Canteen is also underway. The current Library facility will be refurbished to provide a three state of the art new class teaching spaces.
Welcome to Wheeler Heights Public School one of the popular educators in your Collaroy Plateau area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
