Wheeler Heights Public School is located in the beautiful northern beaches of Sydney, Australia.

The school was opened in 1961, and in 2011 will be proudly celebrating 50 years as a centre of quality teaching and learning in its community.

The school is a mid-sized school of approximately 500 students....big enough to offer a wide range of educational opportunities, yet small enough to deliver a personalised approach to learning for every child. The school site has extensive and spacious grounds, including two tennis courts, a large grassed oval and a range of shaded play areas and equipment. Although centrally located on Veterans Parade the school is almost hidden behind homes to provide a safe, quiet and secure learning environment.


Teachers and parents work closely together to provide a wide range of opportunities for all students to achieve their 'Personal Best'. The school community is very excited about the current building program due to be completed in early 2011. A new Library and Resource Learning Centre is under construction. A new School Hall and Canteen is also underway. The current Library facility will be refurbished to provide a three state of the art new class teaching spaces.
