Sydney Private Schools introduces Orana School Rudolf Steiner Education in Weston, for all your education and learning needs.
In the Kindergarten, education is centred upon meeting the needs of the childs developing will. A caring environment which abounds with many possibilities for sensory and will activities is provided for children at this level. A feature of Primary education in Steiner schools such as Orana is that the class teacher moves with the children from Class 1 to 7 and therefore has an in depth understanding of the class as individuals and as a group. Clay modelling Class teachers engage classes in movement, speech, drawing, painting, modelling, story-telling, writing and singing as well as lesson content, in order to cultivate the feeling life of the child. It is recognised that during the Primary phase there is a burgeoning imaginative thinking ability which flourishes and is exercised in an environment filled with creative endeavour. It is a discipline in a Steiner School to meet the child's developmental phases with appropriate tasks and content. The educational intention is to foster an active, articulate and rounded thinking capacity. Students participate in a full range of subjects including humanities, languages, arts, mathematics, sciences, technical studies, life skills and sports. Within each subject the student is meeting a different discipline: thinking is being exercised in diverse ways. In addition, Orana offers a range of electives to Year 9 and 10 students to allow individuals scope to explore new areas and emerging interests. The school has significant facilities in art, music, drama, woodwork, science and photography.
Welcome to Orana School Rudolf Steiner Education one of the popular educators in your Weston area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
