St Joseph's Regional College, Port Macquarie has a mission to promote an attitude of excellence among staff and students and to provide students with an education in the Catholic tradition within a caring, supportive and disciplined environment.

The Year 7 to 10 curriculum includes a wide range of academic, technical and creative subjects designed to cater for students with a diverse range of interests and abilities. The Year 11 and 12 curriculum has an academic focus designed mainly for students wishing to pursue further tertiary studies. Enrichment, extension and acceleration programs and specific individual education programs are offered. The College opened at Sovereign Hills in 2009 relocating from its original site where the St Joseph's Regional tradition first began in 1969.

The beginning of the 2011 school year saw the opening of the final stage of the College's state of the art, first class educational facilities providing a dynamic environment for 21st century learning. The College has the benefit of extensive on-site sporting facilities and has a strong sporting tradition. A diverse range of co-curricular activities is offered to ensure that students have the opportunity to develop holistically.

Individual music tuition is available and there are bands for beginners, intermediate and advanced musicians. Other activities include retreats, public speaking and debating, mock trial, the Duke of Edinburgh Award and Tournament of Minds.
